In 2016, E went through several doctor appointments to figure out why she was having intense stomach pain for hours at a time. After a handful of visits and an ultrasound we found the culprit — E had a gallbladder completely filled with stones. Her physicians recommended that she remove her gallbladder and in the meantime eat a low-fat diet.

The week prior to surgery, she went to the lab to get pre-surgery tests done. Within an hour we found out not only does E have gallstones, she was pregnant as well!!! It was a huge surprise and we weren’t sure how to feel about it. In fact, E went to the store and bought pregnancy tests just in case they were wrong. They weren’t. Hahahaha.

It’s a new year, and it’s sure to be sweet. Our family is growing by one heart and two feet.

SURPRISE!!!

D and I are expecting our first bundle of joy in May 2017. We’re beyond excited for this next adventure and can’t wait to share our journey as new parents. It’s bound to be full of hilarious moments and perhaps a few meltdowns, but it’s an adventure nonetheless!
